The Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals (AHVAP) is pleased to announce a new accredited, educational webinar program on evaluating the clinical costs and risks associated with reusable semi critical medical devices such as flexible endoscopes. This webinar was developed based on a recent member feedback poll posted on social media, and is in line with our commitment to bringing timely educational programs to the AHVAP membership that advance the specialty of healthcare value analysis. 
 
Webinar Objectives: 
 
1) List ten required resources in the management of reusable endoscopes.
2) Compare and contrast five inclusive costs of reusable endoscopes to single-use endoscopes.
3) Review five risks and benefits of reusable versus single-use endoscopes using an evidence-based framework.

About Dr. Osborne:
Dr. Kelly Osborne is the Clinical Nurse Specialist for the Division of Gastroenterology at Duke University Health System in North Carolina. Kelly graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Western Connecticut State University, her Masters in Nursing, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Doctor of Nursing Practice from East Carolina University. She achieved her GI Nursing Certification in 2010, Adult-Gerontology Certification in 2016, and Endoscope Reprocessing certification in 2019.  Kelly has held many positions in nursing.

This webinar is accredited for 1.5 hours of continuing nursing education credits by the California Board of Registered Nurses. This webinar is accredited for 1.5 hours of continuing education credit for those individuals holding the Certified Value Analysis Healthcare Professional (CVAHP) designation.
